Engaging with each other and the world
How does it make sense for us to approach travel, gatherings, drinking, and each other? Join the Forum in Schapiro 129 at 7pm on Friday for a campus-wide discussion about how we ought to act in the midst of a pandemic.
On Friday (1/24) at 7:30pm in Schapiro 129, we will be hosting a conversation about university athletic recruitment. It will be motivated by recent conversation via OpEds in The Record (see below) and moderated by representatives from ThinkerAnalytix, who will use argument mapping as a way of sorting through different perspectives on the matter. (Calendar Link) (Facebook Event).
Sponsored by the Class of ’71 Public Affairs Forum.
We’ll be talking about US Voting and Drinking Age at 7:30pm on Friday for the Forum’s last conversation of the semester! Bring friends to Gladden Living Room, enjoy the snacks and company, and decide what you think about limits on our participation in drinking and democracy.
Join us at 9pm on Nov. 20 as we project the Democratic Presidential Debate in Baxter Hall! There’ll be pizza and dessert. We’re putting together this watch party in collaboration with EphVotes, Womxn in Politics, The Williams Democrats, and The Society For Conservative Thought.
All students, faculty, and staff are welcome!
We invite you and any visiting family to join us for a conversation about climate change on Friday at 7pm (sharp) in Griffin 4!
View the notes and agenda here.
We’ll focus on how we each view climate change and what we think it requires of us. You’ll get to engage in a mixed group of parents and peers as we tease out differences between different generational lenses.
We encourage you to tell any visiting family about this soon, especially if they are trying to plan for the weekend. It’ll be a unique opportunity for you to engage with the extended Williams community and for them to engage with the students who surround you.
