Using Kontakt sounds in Finale is described both with the video and text below.

 Changing MIDI Voices in Finale
From the Finale main menu bar choose Window and then Mixer.
Finale Mixer.

The Mixer in Finale is the place to go to re-voice MIDI.

Select the Instrument List button at the bottom of the main fader.
Finale Mixer.

The Finale Mixer has an instrument list button on the bottom of the main output fader.

When the Instrument List comes up, you can change the device settings for each part in your composition. A drop down menu appears allowing you to choose Kontakt as an option.
Finale Instrument List.

The instrument list allows you to change the device voicing the MIDI.

Chose the Edit Player link highlighted in red and a Kontakt window will appear. On the left are the libraries. Choose a library and then choose an instrument. The instruments all have .nki file extensions. When you double click on them, you get further controls to modify the sound. These adjustments will apply to the parts in Finale. If you have many parts, it is useful to notice that the instrument list assigns a channel number to each instrument on the far right of the table. These are equivalent to the MIDI Channel assigned to each instrument in Kontakt.
Kontakt window.

A Kontakt window appears allowing you to select a new instrument and fine tune that voice.
