Using R

R is an open-source (free) software used for statistical analysis. It is particularly favored among statisticians for its ability to nicely handle large and complicated datasets, although often less-utilized among economists.

If your place of employment doesn't have Stata licenses, you're not able to dish out the hefty fee required for an individual perpetual Stata license, and Microsoft Excel is feeling a little underpowered, it might be a good time to consider learning R.

R is arranged somewhat differently than Stata, although any skills you have with Stata or other programming software will make it much easier to pick up R.
