Focus:

The course summarizes the sources of financing available for development, and explains how leaders in the public, private and multilateral sectors can effectively mobilize these resources.

It includes an overview of investment and finance in Emerging Markets and Developing Economies (EMDEs); public and private strategies for unlocking finance and investment in EMDEs; and building robust financial markets and institutions in EMDEs.

Target Audience:

There's a basic version for anyone with a general interest in and desire to increase understanding of development finance, in particular the need to scale up to meet the financing needs supporting achievement of the SDGs and development more generally. Upgraded version for anyone who works in the development field or considers development a special area of interest, including official development partners, the private sector, foundations, civil society organizations, and academics, students and other experts concentrating on development
