Professional Development
Only a handful of reviews have been completed. The group gave input from their respective departments on the process.

Martha inquired as to what type of professional development opportunities are being offered in departments. Some departments have mandatory conferences/training while others have cut out due to budget restraints.

Organizational Resource Team (ORT)
Bob Wright, Associate Director of Human Resources gave an overview of the new group and what service they can provide to administrative departments. http://hr.williams.edu/staff-development/. Some of the departments whom they have already worked with are Facilities, Real Estate, Auxiliary Services and the Registrar’s Office.

Social Media
Danielle shared draft guidelines on social media from the most recent CAG (Communications Advisory Group) meeting. These guidelines provide guidance on how to use social media effectively and professionally when representing the college. Social Media policies are becoming more popular. The group was encouraged to provide their thoughts and feedback on the guidelines. Danielle is going to check on next steps with Jen Grow, Office of Communications. It was suggested that a Social Media 101 class would be helpful to many on campus.
