Overview and Process
Training will be offered in a Hybrid In-Person format this year.
Hybrid In-Person
Attend two synchronous in-person training sessions.
Watch three asynchronous training session recordings and complete accompanying Understanding Checkpoints.

Registration
Tuesday, September 27th – Friday, September 30th
Registration Form
Register your Intent to Train to receive information about this year’s training program. If you miss the deadline, don’t worry — email a Training Coordinator and we’ll help you get added to the program.
Asynchronous Sessions 1 – 3
Complete on your own time by Sunday, October 30th.
Each session consists of a video (max 1 hour) and an associated Understanding Checkpoint (UC). You must watch the video and complete the UC; links and additional details can be found below, in the Program section.
Synchronous Session 4
Saturday, November 5th, 1 – 2 pm

Contact Certification Examination (CCE) Period
Submit Intent by Saturday, November 12th
Take CCE Sunday, November 13th – Sunday, November 20th
Various times. Approx. 30 min sessions.
The CCE is optional. You can find out more information in the End of Training section.
Process
1. Register
Register your intent to become a Member by completing this quick form.
2. Train
Complete the training curriculum in the Hybrid In-Person format.
3. Certify
Complete the RASAN Contact Certification Examination (CCE).
Registration and Attendance
To attend hybrid in-person training, please register your intent.
Attendance
We expect all Trainees enrolled in the Hybrid In-Person Training Program to attend all synchronous sessions. If you cannot attend a particular session, that’s okay! Please let a Training Coordinator know and we’ll work to get you caught up.
However, we ask that all Trainees make reasonable efforts to attend in-person sessions; we’ve worked really hard to make training accessible and low-impact this year while maintaining our high standards and program integrity.

1. Register for Training
Tuesday, September 27th – Friday, September 30th

You must register for training to participate in the program. If you miss the deadline, contact a Training Coordinator.
2. Watch Asynchronous Recordings 1 – 3
Saturday, October 1st – Sunday, October 30th
On your own time.
Session 1: Consent, Sexual Violence, and EphCasa (approx. 60 min)
Session 2: Caring Conversations, Active Listening, Resources, and Coping Strategies (approx. 30 min)
Session 3: Feelings and Reactions, Trauma, and Supporting Significant Others (approx. 45 min)
Watch the entire recording of the training session, linked below. You may complete watching these recordings on your own time. We ask that you complete watching all recordings by Sunday, October 30th.
3. Complete Asynchronous Understanding Checkpoints 1 – 3
Saturday, October 1st – Sunday, October 30th
On your own time.
Complete the accompanying Understanding Checkpoint (UC), linked below. You may complete these Checkpoints on your own time. We ask that you complete all Checkpoints by Sunday, October 30th.
Each Checkpoint contains five questions related to the session material. It is auto-graded so that you will receive immediate feedback, but there is no minimum score necessary. You may use any provided RASAN training resources during the Understanding Checkpoint. All we ask is that you try your best.
4. Attend Synchronous Training Session 4: Contact Process and Scenarios I
Saturday, November 5th, 1 – 2 pm

Attend and participate in the first synchronous training session.
5. Attend Synchronous Training Session 5: Intersectionality; Gender, Sex, and Sexuality; and Scenarios II
Saturday, November 12th, 1 – 2 pm

Attend and participate in the second synchronous training session.
6. [Optional] Complete RASAN Contact Certification Examination (CCE)
Submit Intent by Saturday, November 12th
Various times. Approximately 30 minute sessions.
Take CCE Sunday, November 13th – Sunday, November 20th
Optionally complete your RASAN CCE to obtain Certified membership. Learn more about Certified Membership in the End of Training section below.

End of Training: Next Steps
The next step is to complete the RASAN Contact Certification Examination (RASAN-CCE).
RASAN Contact Certification Examination (CCE)
Submit Intent by Saturday, November 12th

Take CCE Sunday, November 13th – Sunday, November 20th
The next step is to complete the RASAN Contact Certification Examination (RASAN-CCE). The RASAN-CCE is not required for RASAN Uncertified Membership; however, Uncertified Members may not participate in RASAN-sponsored contact protocols (that is, they may not take appointments as representatives of RASAN).
For those of you who would like to pursue RASAN Certified Membership, you must submit an Intent to Certify. We ask all of you to please submit this intent as soon as possible, but no later than Saturday, November 12th. Shortly afterward, we will reach out to schedule your RASAN-CCE, which will occur Sunday, November 13th – Sunday, November 20th. Additionally, you must complete all required training components by that deadline. If you do not complete all Understanding Checkpoints by that deadline, you will not be eligible to take the RASAN-CCE at this time, nor will you be eligible for RASAN Uncertified Membership. If this poses a significant challenge for you, please let me know.
If you do not want to pursue Certified Membership, don’t submit an Intent to Certify. We’ll award Uncertified Membership to you after the deadline to submit Intent has passed.
