Model, Robert Kooning's girlfriend. The Calling Women is the first show I did with White Male Power and I asked women to shout out the name of a person, place, or thing that was important to them. They were all feminist women I knew at the time. It was meant to be about female agency, having a voice, and inclusive of all women.

Made for an exhibition for the Philadelphia Academy of the Fine Arts. A wall drawing installation at Wave Hill initiated the invitation, and this is part of the works based on those Wave Hill drawings. This is a studio version of a wall drawing made for the Charlotte NC Two First Union Center in the late 80's. The imagery was one of the first things I made about global warming. It's about the drapery you would find on classical figures in front of courthouses and across America, or in a classical Leonardo sculpture, and then it's flooded. Looks like icebergs - drapery studies when flooded look like icebergs, it's a dystopian vision.
