In Lama NM, sitting by a fence at the edge of an arroyo, nothing was happening. It was very quiet and still. Since there was no action to distract, the presence of the moment came to the fore.

While I was sitting under a tree on rainy day in Bruton, two robins appeared and began to fight. The were so engaged that they forgot to fly and nearly crashed to the ground. The two bodies fell straight down, and the edges of their wings defined a column shape as they fell.

I was sitting by the back pond and nothing happened but this drawing. The ovals are about quiet and the central figure is about a quiet mind.

The drawing was originally horizontal, so the breeze shapes flowed from right to left.

Sitting in Oudolf Field, a breeze came from the right as I was drawing a tall stand of grass.

The patio at the house in Tesuque was bordered with large Juniper trees that had a delightful, aromatic smell when wet.

Oudolf Field in the morning was covered with exceptionally heavy dew. The plants were weighed down by the water drops which caught the sun.

Sitting in the pavilion at Oudolf Field, Bruton, UK for shelter, the rain came down hard.

I was facing a mountain in the Adirondacks, and drawing the fading light, when this weird rearing shape appeared.
