Thi si s the first study of a larger wall drawing work. Soldiers holding back a flood of mourners. Composite of many images during apartheid, designed for the space under the Brooklyn bridge. Exhibition called "Underneath the Brooklyn Bridge." Commissioned by the WPA, exhibition there and then to Brooklyn and James Coen Gallery in NYC.
