Williams College is a liberal arts institution (ranked #1 according to US News & World Report) with approximately 2000 students.  Williams is located in the scenic Berkshires in western Massachusetts, about 3 hours from New York City and an hour from Albany.

The Department of Mathematics & Statistics at Williams is a lively group with award-winning teachers and researchers.  In recent years, over 10% of each graduating class graduates with a major in mathematics; this is well over the national average of just 1-2%.

The Williams College campus during the summer offers a vibrant scientific community for campers to join.  In addition to many undergraduates on campus engaging in scientific research, the college also offer a five week Summer Science Program for incoming Williams first-years.  In addition, the campus is home to the SMALL Summer Research Program for Undergraduates, one of the largest undergraduate math research programs in the country.
