Wow! First week at 哈台班, and first week in Taiwan… EVER!
First impressions? Taiwan is so much bigger than I imagined. I don’t know why I thought I could just hop from one side of the island to the other with ease.
Second: it’s lively here. Motorcycles everywhere. Tall buildings (mostly old), crammed into tight spaces.
Third: life here is fast-paced. Honestly, I don’t even know what I originally expected Taiwan to be like—definitely not this fast.
As for the program… so many teachers! What the heck. And they’re all so young. The material is a lot, but it’s also exciting being in such a different environment. It’s nothing like Williams at all.
I’m a little nervous about keeping up with the course load. But I’m also excited to get to know everyone.
