May’s meeting may be the last for the summer due to Martha’s departure.

Minutes from last meeting

Minutes of the January and March meetings were approved.

May Meeting

One or two members from the Office of Communications will be attending May’s meeting.  Kevin will provide them with April’s SAC minutes for reference.

Appreciation Day

If anyone would like to volunteer to greet attendees at the Appreciation Lunch on May 1 let Richard Duncan know.

Sick Leave Donation Bank

• Kevin needs to finalize some loose ends before this is presented to Senior Staff.
• It was suggested to include as much information from peer institutions as possible.
• There may have to be some People Soft system development which could delay any implementation date.

New Staff Idea

Veronica began a discussion around having a program for staff similar to the “First3” program for faculty.  The vision of this may consist of some form of unstructured gatherings for new staff members where they could get information and network with others.  Veronica asked that people think about how this may work and/or be formatted.
