CARNIVAL SEASON IN THE CARIBBEAN!

It’s definitely that time again – high energy, vibrant colors, great music, and, as our secretary Jallicia Jolly likes to put it, an awesome display of talent (a.k.a wining!). Carnival in the Caribbean (and in other places like Brazil) is just one big PARTY where every individual can embrace their culture without a care in the world. If you notice, the limitations that society places on presentation in the public sphere don’t exist here. The costumes are explicit and the dancing can be a little wild, but all of this contributes to the experience as a whole. The idea is to “live a little!” So give it a shot 🙂 Join the West Indian Day Parade in Boston and New York and end your summer right – SoCA style!!
