Add the following in the order specified in your machine’s instructions:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 to 2 T sugar (or honey)
  • 1-1/2 t yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2-1/2 T oil
  • 1 egg

You can either let the machine complete the cycle, and wind up with a regular looking loaf, or take out the dough after the first rising, shape it, and let it rise in a pan, then bake it in the oven.
