Today was a crazy day. After hiking Castle Peak last night we went to sleep pretty late, so waking up in the morning to go to the Honk Kong History Museum was difficult. However, we made it to the museum and the first thing that I noticed was that we were moving so fast. I feel like the ancient history section was brushed over much quicker than than the others, so I wasn’t able to read or see everything we came across. I suppose I will just have to come back someday. Afterwards we, slowly, decided as a group to get lunch before our next trip. After stumbling around Tsim Sha Tsui for what seemed like forever, because I was hungry, we found the restaurant tucked away in an alley. After lunch we went on a walking tour of Kowloon with a Lingnan graduate – Allah. Allah’s tour was long, but insightful. She showed us firsthand several social issues afflicting Hong Kong and added much needed perspective to my understanding of peoples daily lives.
