About DSU

Williams DSU (Disabled Student Union) is a student-run organization at Williams College that strives to:

  • Provide a place for the disabled Williams community to engage with disability culture and issues
  • Be a tool for self-advocacy, both on campus and in larger communities
  • Create accessible spaces for students

Disability is more than a health condition; it’s an identity with a rich culture, history, and community. Williams Disabled Student Union seeks to explore that identity by bringing together disabled students and allies, and making a more accessible Williams. We’ll engage with current events, organize inclusive activities, offer accessible volunteer opportunities, and foster a thriving community for people with disabilities.

DSU’s purpose is to support disabled Williams students in any way that the college does not sufficiently provide, either through the Office of Accessible Education or any other college resources.
