Discipleship Groups

Those who consider themselves committed followers of Jesus — you’re invited to join a Discipleship Group! They’re organized by class year and designed to help you grow in your faith.

Being able to attend (or not) a Discipleship Group is a really terrible measure of anyone’s commitment to following Jesus. If anything, this invitation to consider joining one is also about prompting good conversations within our community —

1. There might be some obstacles that prevent committed followers from otherwise being able to / choosing to attend a Discipleship Group. That’s okay! Please reach out to a Discipleship Group Leader for your class year to talk through those obstacles.

2. There might be some folks who are uncomfortable with (or unsure about) the idea of examining/evaluating their “level of commitment” to following Jesus. That’s also okay! Again, we encourage you to reach out to a Discipleship Group Leader for your class year to talk (or to Caleb Miaw). We recommend that you attend one for a few weeks to see what they’re like. The reality is that Jesus asks for more wholehearted commitment from each of us, and he graciously helps us to see what we’re holding onto for ourselves (and holding back from him and others).
