The week after returning from our class trip to South Taiwan was quite relaxing, as we had a few days to unwind before our classes started again. The fun continued in Taipei as my friend from Williams came to Taiwan for a few days, and I got to see her. We visited an animal cafe featuring Lemurs and Toucans, and explored Ximending. I found it to be an odd but enjoyable experience communicating with my friend in Chinese for the first time, rather than in English as we usually did at Williams. However, this experience was also very enriching for me, as it allowed me to practice Chinese with someone familiar and understanding, and to see a different part of our personalities emerge when speaking a different language to each other.
