My first week in HTA (哈台班）was a bit of a rollercoaster ride. I was experiencing a whirlwind of emotions, feeling the effects of culture shock and jet lag, while also being excited about all the new things I would learn. Only when I sat down for my first class did it dawn on me just how fast this course was about to go. To be honest, it was incredibly daunting, and I began to doubt myself and compare my abilities to those of my peers in keeping up with the content. I wasn’t sure how I would manage exploring Taiwan while learning hundreds of vocabulary words and dozens of grammar points a week, but I knew I could do it.
