Minutes:

Wellness Initiative
Sr. Staff was pleased with the proposal but had concerns with the structure of the incentive and the proposed timeline. A subset of the Benefits Committee will work on a report on the state of health care at the college this summer to present to faculty and staff in the fall.

Performance Development Plan
Attendance was impressive for the three presentations held on campus. Many staff voiced that they thought these presentations would have been more in depth with information on the process and less of an introduction. A number of training workshops will be held this summer and fall to elaborate on the process and introduce the new tools.

Udder News
The group agreed they were happy with the contents and delivery of the April issue of the Udder News. The next issue is slated for July.

Salary Setting Update
Martha will be communicating with department heads in May that the increases this year will have several components including fiscal year increases, structural adjustments and the opportunity for merit. Next year we will look at how we recognize performance based on the new performance evaluation process.

Workshops for Staff
Martha asked for input on other useful workshops for staff. A few suggestions were:
Compensation – How the college arrives at salary setting | Technology | Communications |Ergonomics | Nutrition | Safety | Sustainability | Myers Briggs (personality types)
Basic policies | FMLA
