EPA Grant Opportunities – Extended Deadlines

The new Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Grantmaking (EJ TCGM) Program is a competition to select multiple pass-through entities to provide grant funds via sub-awards to groups representing under-served and disadvantaged communities. Grantmakers will design competitive application and submission processes, award environmental justice subgrants, implement a tracking and reporting system, provide resources and support to communities, all in collaboration with EPA’s Office of Environmental Justice and External Civil Rights.

Applicants are invited to participate in a webinar on March 16, 2023, at 2:00 – 4:00 pm EST with EPA to address questions about the EJ TCGM Program and this solicitation. A recording of the webinar will be posted in this section for those who cannot attend the live webinars and for reference purposes when preparing applications.

For additional information regarding this grant opportunity, visit the Grantmaking RFA and EPA’s web page for the EJ TCGM grant:  The Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Grantmaking Program.
The closing date is May 31, 2023.

EPA’s EJ Collaborative Problem-Solving Cooperative Agreement Program provides funding for eligible applicants for projects that address local environmental and public health issues within an affected community. Collaborative problem-solving involves the establishment and/or maintenance of partnerships between and among other stakeholders and the underserved community to address the community’s local environmental and/or public health issues. Partnerships may be financial, such as a partnership of community-based nonprofit organizations that apply for a CPS cooperative agreement, or non-financial such as cooperative relationships among stakeholders that do not involve subawards of EPA funding.  For additional information, visit the amended CPS RFA and EPA’s web page for the EJ CPS Grant: The Environmental Justice Collaborative Problem-Solving Cooperative Agreement Program | US EPA.
The closing date has been extended until April 14, 2023.

Formerly known as EPA’s State Environmental Justice Cooperative Agreement Program (SEJCA), this program has been renamed to better reflect the multiple entities eligible for the funding as well as the purpose of the program. EPA’s EJ Government-to-Government (G2G) Program provides funding to governmental entities at the state, local, territorial and tribal level to support and/or create model government activities that lead to measurable environmental or public health results in communities disproportionately burdened by environmental harms and risks. Model EJ G2G programs should leverage existing resources to develop key tools and processes that integrate environmental justice considerations into governmental decision-making at all levels.  For additional information regarding this grant opportunity, visit the amended G2G RFA and EPA’s web page for the EJ G2G Grant:  The Environmental Justice Government-to-Government Program | US EPA
The closing date has been extended until April 14, 2023.
