| Meet the Team

Tyler Hallenbeck

Coach

Riding is the answer.

Team rules:

— If you drop someone on a ride, be ready to be dropped yourself.

— Ride your bike to practice, don’t drive your car.

— Protect your noggin.

— Better to ride with others than by yourself.

Percy Tohna, senior

Team Captain

Major: Studio Art

Bio: Percy started cycling when he came to Williams College because of a track injury. He knew absolutely nothing about bikes. He loves to race. Only thing he loves as much as racing is making art.

Craziest thing done on a bike: Descended in the dark in Siena, Italy

Ramiro Ramirez, senior

Team Captain

Major: Chem and Psych

Bio: Ramiro’s training philosophy is simple: never walk if you can ride, and never ride if you can coast. Known for driving to the Ark just to avoid Mission Hill, he insists it’s “all part of the plan.” Future Ironman contender—pending swimming lessons and maybe floaties. Treats every group ride like the Tour de France, except with more snack stops and fewer rules (secretly believes drafting behind cows should be UCI-legal)

Life Goal: Get 1 million kudos

Emery McHugh, sophomore

Junior Captain & Social Media Coordinator

Major/Concentration: Math & Environmental Studies

Bio: Emery only joined the team after being pressured at the Purple Key Fair freshman year but has now become the #1 hater of walking anywhere and will only ride bike around campus.

Number of Stitches from Williams Cycling Related Injuries:

Enzo Schulze, sophomore

Junior Captain

Biology major & Neuroscience concentration

Bio: Enzo is from New Yawk. Mostly knows how to change a flat.

Biggest cycling accomplishment: Got chased by the military

Tebin Kim, sophomore

Junior Captain

Biology major

Bio: Tebin bikes a lot so she can run more. She might suck at cornering but she can slurp 40g of carbs in <5 seconds.

Cycling red flag: will ride indoors on a perfectly sunny day
