Greylock High School was filled with action this past Saturday as it served as the venue for the ECAC Championships!  The course was in phenomenal condition and the day was beautiful for racing.  With a great crew of helpers setting up, marshaling, and cleaning up the course, parking cars and buses, and many other jobs, our team pulled together to put the meet on smoothly and efficiently.  Our men placed second and our women placed third showing the depth of our second seven runners among the field.  We are looking forward to more championship competition next week as we head to Connecticut to compete in the NCAA Regional Championship!

October 12, 2015 – XC Team Community Service    This past Monday, the team had a great time serving the community in a variety of ways that directly impact both the people in our neighborhood and the environment that we enjoy and appreciate running in.  Part of the team chose to do a road clean up on roads close to campus that we run on often.  A larger group rode to Peace Valley Farm where much of our local food (eaten in campus dining halls) is grown.  Two small groups traveled to nearby North Adams, MA to serve at a soup kitchen.  All had a wonderful time continuing our team’s tradition of serving the community around us!

September 12, 2015 – McGill Invitational in Montreal   This past weekend, the Ephs made their season debut against international competition in Canada.  The women won the invitational with flying colors.  Top runners included senior captain Lacey Serletti and junior Hannah Cole leading the front pack.  The men came in second to McGill by just four points with junior Peter Hale and sophomore Griffin Colaizzi leading the way.  The trip was also a wonderful cultural experience as well as a competitive one as students had opportunities to explore the city, taste different foods, and even speak French as they prepared before and celebrated after their races.  We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to our intersquad Coed Relays this weekend!
