What a day.
Today was wild from the point that I decided to hike up Victoria Peak with RB, Haley and Professor. Yu. At first I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go or just spend some time relaxing before heading to the happy valley race course. It turns out I won’t be Hong Kong forever so I decided to go on the hike, regardless if my body wanted to or not. The first part of the hike was disgustingly steep and I thought that we had our work cut out for us, but the incline slowly died down and we eventually meandered our way to the “top.” I put top in quotations because we never actually reached the top, because you had to pay to go to the observation deck – how about no. Either way we were able to take some nice pictures and get a nice vantage point on the smog covered city below. Afterwards we rushed into the tram and to Happy Valley Race Course. Despite the odds me and RB won a whole dollar on our first bet (but lost fifteen on our second.) now we are on our way home penniless and broken.
