Funding

Core funding for WURJ is provided by the Facilitators for Allocating Student Taxes (FAST), the primary funding body for registered student organizations at Williams College. Go here to learn more about FAST and view past funding decisions.

Additionally, for the 2021-22 academic year, WURJ was awarded an over $4,000 grant to expand access to publication opportunities for underrepresented communities in academia. This grant is part of the Towards Inclusion, Diversity, & Equity (TIDE) program, administered by the College’s Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. You can navigate here to read our grant proposal or here for more information on the TIDE grant program. We at WURJ are immensely grateful to the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for supporting our work, and we would like to give a special thanks to Bilal Ansari, Assistant Vice President for Campus Engagement, and to D. Clinton Williams, Director of Pathways for Inclusive Excellence, for their assistance throughout the TIDE grant process.
