WURJ Awarded Over $4000 Grant to Promote Equity in Academic Publishing

As of February 2022, Williams’ Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion awarded us an over $4000 Towards Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (TIDE) grant to support our work in expanding access to publication opportunities both for all students at Williams College, and specifically for students from backgrounds historically underrepresented in academia. With the additional funding, we’re planning to develop our online platform, incentivize submissions through collaborations with student groups aiming to expand diversity in specific academic disciplines, and host an interdisciplinary student research colloquium at the end of the semester.
