Putting people in total darkness, hand-feeding them, having them read aloud, making them fill out forms, taking them up to high vantage points, etc. Tending towards \u201cimmersive theater\u201d which I mentioned on the first day! But how demanding can we be with non-classmates participating?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Childhood\/nostalgia, as seen in Phoebe\u2019s juxtapositions, Omar\u2019s ELI5 and triptych, Madeline\u2019s \u201cCandysand\u201d and \u201cAAAAA PPPPRINCESS?\u201d, Omar\u2019s \u201cLand Before Time\u201d, David\u2019s \u201cThree Little Pigs\u201d and \u201cToy Story\u201d, Bailey\u2019s \u201cSpy Kids\u201d, Kimmy\u2019s \u201cDon\u2019t Forget Your Mission (Thanks Yonce)\u201d and \u201cA Summer of Sisterhood\u201d, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Eerie atmosphere, as seen in Molly\u2019s triptych, Bailey\u2019s triptych, Bailey\u2019s 5 senses, Carina\u2019s juxtapositions and Bailey\u2019s mask, Gabrielle\u2019s juxtapositions, my cosmic egg (or potato as people were calling it), probably my Gnosticism triptych, etc. In general the most memorable things were either creepy or funny, or both.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Things made by me:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u201cThe Job Hunt of David Carter\u201d \u2013 I think there\u2019s a lot more to that story, and I really liked the aesthetic of the Osaka Red Light District combined with the existential dread of not being worthy of hiring. #latecapitalism<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>\u201cDescent\/Ascent\u201d \u2013 Again I like the aesthetic I came up with, combined with the performance history significance of the Demeter\/Persephone\/Hades myth as the initiation rite of the Eleusinian mystery cult\u2026 I sense an affinity with Bailey\u2019s 5 senses here.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Things made by others:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Bailey\u2019s triptych \u2013 because of the strange experience of being 14 disembodied heads.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Omar\u2019s spoken word (and haiku readings) \u2013 because they were so amazingly hilarious and I want to laugh that hard again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Paige\u2019s juxtapositions \u2013 because it engaged with this foundational (to Western culture) story in such an original and nuanced way.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Emerging themes: Being demanding on the \u201caudience\u201d was a feature (in form and content) of most of the performances from the last assignment and most performances we\u2019ve done so far in general.
