tricks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/sites.williams.edu\/thea228\/files\/2011\/09\/imovie-ipad.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1614\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.williams.edu\/thea228\/files\/2011\/09\/imovie-ipad-300x222.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"222\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.williams.edu\/thea228\/files\/2011\/09\/imovie-ipad-300x222.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sites.williams.edu\/thea228\/files\/2011\/09\/imovie-ipad-404x300.jpg 404w, https:\/\/sites.williams.edu\/thea228\/files\/2011\/09\/imovie-ipad.jpeg 650w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Apple&#8217;s official <a href=\"http:\/\/help.apple.com\/imovie\/ipad\/1.2\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">how-to guide for iMovie<\/a>\u00a0on the iPad 2<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Seems pretty thorough. \u00a0Also, I think you get to more or less the same thing from within the app, tapping on the information i-in-a-circle on the My projects home screen.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Pinch in and out to adjust the size of the timeline for editing.<\/p>\n<p>To split a clip, position the red line where you want it to split, then swipe down across the timeline.<\/p>\n<p>To adjust a transition with more finesse, pinch apart vertically over the transition to get into precision editing mode, or tap the double yellow arrow. \u00a0To exit precision editing mode, pinch together vertically over the transition.<\/p>\n<p>Double tap on a clip to bring up options for titles, as well as to adjust (or mute) the volume of that clip.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">Note that the title will be present throughout the whole clip, with some animations at the beginning and end. \u00a0If you want it to only be present for some of the clip, set the title and then split the clip at the point where you want the title to be gone. \u00a0It will be applied to the first part of the clip but not the latter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">I believe (should check this) that the style of the title and animation are set by the Theme selected for your movie, accessed from the settings &#8220;gear&#8221;
