I was starting to think I should take advantage of the remaining two weeks to explore the city more. This week we wouldn’t be having Friday activities, as well as Saturday trips. So I was planning to go out with some friends to the National Museum as well as the National Art Museum. I actually really enjoyed both trips. Both were close to Tian’anmen so the subway there was very convenient. The National Museum was very pretty, I guess because it was a big tourist attraction so it was very well organized and beautifully designed. The Art Museum actually contains very modern/realistic art works. They fitted more with my artistic style so I really enjoyed the visit. We also went to Wangfujing in the nearby area.

This week in class, we discussed very global/controversial issues such as the issues of war refugees, cultural differences. On Friday the teachers organized a small Model UN for us to discuss the issues of war refugees in Syria. We also had the Beijing Night on August 3rd. I was one of the MCs, and we had 1min 30 sec dance performance before the show, so we had to pratice a lot, along with memorizing the MC long dialogues I remembered being super busy, taking a 30min nap and then rushing over to the dance practice, but it was definitely worth it! The show was a complete success, I was happy with my MC performance, and also spent a lot of time taking pictures with the teachers and friends.

It was already the eighth week.
