During both interviews, I was asked what my first impression of Taiwan was… I had no other answer except that it’s hot. I felt bad because that was probably the 20th time the laoshi had heard a student say “台湾好热”… But after going around the city with Kristina and Hannah, I realized that one of the best things about Taiwan is the food. We decided to eat and play as much as we can before classes start. Hannah’s dad took us to SUN WAY, where I discovered that I like sweet black soy beans better than giant salmon. We then went to Ximending to eat mango shaved ice at 三兄妹.

The next day, Kristina and I went to a vegetarian buffet for lunch. It took us almost an hour to find the restaurant, but the search was worth it!
