After looking into RE:THINK I found out that they were doing a month of beach clean ups all around Taiwan! I figured it would be the perfect way to interview individuals who are interested in Environmental issues. So I after spending some time in \u6843\u5712 recovering from jetlag, I made my way to \u82d7\u6817\u3002I realized, however, it was hard to get around certain counties without using a taxi or going on long walks. So I decided to talk to those in my hostel about their experiences and learn more about Hakka culture.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Due to missing the clean up in \u82d7\u6817\uff0cI made my way to the next stop: \u53f0\u4e2d\u5927\u5b89\u6c99\u4e18\u3002I had a set of questions that I prepared for my first set of interviews asking questions like: <\/span>\u4f60\u8a8d\u70ba\u53f0\u7063\u7684\u5e74\u8f15\u4eba\u6216\u5b78\u751f\u5728\u63a8\u52d5\u74b0\u5883\u6b63\u7fa9\u65b9\u9762\u53ef\u4ee5\u626e\u6f14\u4ec0\u9ebc\u6a23\u7684\u89d2\u8272\uff1fI talked to around 20 people! I was really nervous at first since I was the only \u5916\u570b\u4eba around, but I met some really nice volunteers that helped me build up my confidence and brought people my way. Afterwards, some more people I talked to drove me to a train station. The next day I got hotpot with those volunteers and learned a lot about their journeys and philosophies outside of the interviews.
