They were very welcoming to us. Their daughter (\u6c90\u6600\uff0cMorning)<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">is a rising fourth year student at NTU, majoring in ancient Chinese writing<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and competing on the university\u2019s club fencing team. Talking to her was a wonderful insight into the lives of NTU students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We met them at Chiang-Shek Memorial Hall. We dined at the Chun Shui Tang (\u6625\u6c34\u5802\uff09restaurant, notable as the birth place of brown sugar boba tea (\u73cd\u73e0\u5976\u8336). I can confirm that the flavor of the tapioca was far more rich and distinctive than any I had in the US.\u00a0 Our host family is also very knowledgeable on the Taipei area\u2019s bird ecology and so we also visited the pond located in the grounds around the hall. They pointed out the local wildlife, notably the night heron (\u591c\u9e6d).
