We just got back from our Social Study Trip! So glad to be back, but also really grateful for the experience.<\/p>\n
About ten of us went to Tainan, where we tried all kinds of traditional local dishes (\u5f88\u6709\u7279\u8272!), snorkeled with the fishes, and made our way through a lot of \u535a\u7269\u9986’s. We also had the chance to visit Cheng Kung University, where we chatted with a bunch of students who were absolutely the sweetest and, of course, shared some boba with them.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s pretty wild to think about how much my Chinese has improved. I can now have everyday conversations with locals on pretty much any topic. I\u2019m finally gaining confidence in my speaking abilities (can\u2019t say the same for reading), and learning not to be afraid of making mistakes while talking.<\/p>\n
Of course, with every trip there are a few downsides. Tainan probably wasn\u2019t as exciting as the other Social Study trips, but it was still a good break from the classroom. I\u2019m honestly excited to be back in my dorm and get back into the routine of things.<\/p>\n
