\u5927\u5bb6\u597d! Gonna be honest, this week was probably the most difficult of my whole summer. I’m not going to overshare on a blog, but I’ll just say that some things were happening back at home that I felt I really needed to be there to support people for and, as I am abroad, I was not able to. But from every challenge we grow, or so they say (we’ll see how I grow from this I suppose). Anyway, we have officially started the second semester, and even though I studied and was doing well the first semester, the jump to this week was still surprisingly big. Perhaps it is just because we went away for a week or maybe the semesters actually do vary in difficulty, I guess we’ll never know, but time to lock in again because it feels like I’m starting from scratch all over again.<\/p>\n
Despite the challenges that have arisen in the past week, I do feel like I have begun to have a very strong connection to Taipei and Taiwan. Through the slight language barrier that still exists as my Chinese continually improves and so many unfamiliar habits and customs, I find myself bit by bit falling for this beautiful place. Perhaps that sounds clich\u00e9, but I really do think its true. And I mean it on a deeper level than I just really love the city because its modern and pretty and clean and whatever, like I really feel the soul of the city and I love it. Anyway, perhaps I’ll never be able to truly explain it, but here is starting to feel like home.<\/p>\n
