During my visit to the West Kowloon District, I was struck by the sheer scale and ambition of the cultural infrastructure. The Palace Museum offers Chinese history and culture with ancient artifacts with modern curatorial techniques. The M+ Museum, on the other hand, showcases contemporary visual culture from Hong Kong and beyond with cutting-edge architectural models and artistic design installations.<\/p>\n
The West Kowloon District shows Hong Kong\u2019s ambitious culture-led urban development. By investing in large-scale cultural institutions, the city aims to position itself as a global cultural hub. The blend of traditional and contemporary in this area also reminds me of Hong Kong’s unique identity as a city where East meets West.<\/p>\n

During my visit to the Hong Kong Art Development Council (HKADC), I had the opportunity to explore their initiative of providing affordable studio rentals to local artists. This initiative supports the creative community and artists\u2019 innovations. I visited the studio of a craftswoman who specialized in creating exquisite miniature models of Hong Kong streets and cultural objects.
