Over this past week, there wasn’t much to report on. I did have a 3 day week because of the language mission, but studying was still very rigorous. Something that I can remember that was particularly special was going to a speech about Taiwan, China and American relations from a NTU Professor. It was really cool and informative. This week, I was mainly preparing for my cousin to come, as she would be in Taipei for a little bit (and I wanted to be a good host).<\/p>\n
Additionally, one of the activities that has given me joy is watching movies! My roommate has been borrowing a USB cable so we can hook her computer up to our apartment tv. So far, we’ve watched: Farewell My Concubine, Happy Together, Chungking Express, 2048, and Rouge. Can you tell that we really love watching Leslie Cheung and Tony Leung?<\/p>\n
My time in Taiwan so far has been awesome. I’m really enjoying myself eating good food, talking and meeting new friends, and just exploring the city alone. (I’ve been doing that a lot lately.) Hope to talk to you guys soon!<\/p>\n
