I also went to make traditional Japanese pottery with my host mother and sister in Seto. We used two methods to make the pottery, wheel throwing and by hand. I made a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">donburi <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(rice) bowl and flower vase using wheel throwing, and a little piggy bank by hand. In a few weeks, after they are baked and painted by the instructors, we will come back to pick them up. I also met my host mother\u2019s mother, who made dinner for me and my host family. I tried her homemade<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> aji fry <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(fried horse mackerel), <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ebi<\/span><\/i> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">fry<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (fried shrimp), <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">tai<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> sea bream, and a cheesecake inside of a real peach.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week, I took my final exams and gave a presentation in Japanese for my language classes.
