One of the things that has surprised me a lot about Taiwan is the different communities of foreigners. For instance, I have been able to befriend a lot of fellow Latinos that have come to Taiwan (mostly from South American countries like Paraguay) to pursue their undergraduate studies at local universities. Additionally, there seem to be vibrant Southeast Asian communities all around the city, and as a result I’ve been exposed both to\u00a0\"Yummynew cuisines (like Filipino food)<\/p>\n

and one’s I already enjoy at home (Vietnamese food).\u00a0\"Vietnamese<\/p>\n

The multiculturalness of Taipei is very refreshing, especially on those days I find myself missing my home community.<\/p>\n

Lately, the weather has been extremely hot in Taipei, reaching temperatures of 100 degrees F (38 C), so I took time to escape to the beach for a day. I went to \u767d\u6c99\u7063 which is a beautiful white sand beach!<\/p>\n
