This week definitely flew by! Topics for this week included tiger moms, the Chinese education system and Han Han, China&#8217;s &#8220;leftover women&#8221;, and some poems! I think the class on poems was my favorite this week, since it was such a change from our normal routine and it reminded me of the class I took on Classical Chinese last Fall!<\/p>\n<p>We also got the chance to hear a presentation from Jianying Zha, where she talked about the importance and challenges that come with Translation. And since it was &#8220;Food Week&#8221; this week, we got to film cooking vlogs to share with other students in the program! It was a lot of fun to use Mandarin to explain cooking and share with my classmates!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m also working with one of my classmates to create a podcast for one of our class projects!
