Taiwan Adventures – Week 5!! (ICLP)

Over this past week, there wasn’t much to report on. I did have a 3 day week because of the language mission, but studying was still very rigorous. Something that I can remember that was particularly special was going to a speech about Taiwan, China and American relations from a NTU Professor. It was really cool and informative. This week, I was mainly preparing for my cousin to come, as she would be in Taipei for a little bit (and I wanted to be a good host).

Additionally, one of the activities that has given me joy is watching movies! My roommate has been borrowing a USB cable so we can hook her computer up to our apartment tv. So far, we’ve watched: Farewell My Concubine, Happy Together, Chungking Express, 2048, and Rouge. Can you tell that we really love watching Leslie Cheung and Tony Leung?

My time in Taiwan so far has been awesome. I’m really enjoying myself eating good food, talking and meeting new friends, and just exploring the city alone. (I’ve been doing that a lot lately.) Hope to talk to you guys soon!
