Taiwan Adventures – Week 3! (ICLP)

Hello! Sorry for the long wait! I’ve been super busy with classes, which have been consisting of small 听写’s, speeches and lots of homework! Within the past week (and a half) I’ve done a lot of stuff. Let’s start.

One of the highlights was this past Saturday, where I checked out the nearby Jianguo Flower and Jade market. The stuff there was so pretty, and was a nice escape from the increasing heat. Next, ICLP had arranged a day trip to Tamsui, a small town that holds a lot of history in Taiwan. We checked out a ceramics place, and even got to meet some people making the ceramics! We also checked out Fort San Domingo, a Spanish fort with years of history relating to Taiwan’s connection to colonization. I thought it was fascinating. However, the whole 4 hours we were in Tamsui, it rained. Hard. An hour in, my shoes were completely soaked. When we were done with the trip, my friends and I were wringing rain water out of our dresses. How funny!

Today’s entry is going to be a bit short, especially since I’ve been so busy, and I was sick for a bit, which means that I sadly do not have many stories for this week to tell you guys. Next week I promise I’ll have more!!
