Naebang-gasa Project Week 6- Aug 18th:

I’ve been flipping through the book that Chairman Lee gave to me and have been jotting down notes about what I’ve noticed. It was hard to notice when categorizing the works, but when I was reading the summaries in the provided book, I came across a specific set of works from the independence movement period. The contents narrated the hidden efforts of the wives of the independence soldiers and the efforts of the female independence soldiers themselves. I’m glad I came across this specific genre because I plan to focus on it in my thesis! Moreover, I’ve noticed that the works highlight a tension between the writers of Naebang-gasa, what purpose they served, their audience, and their perspectives. More to write about for my thesis!
