I just left Tokyo from my internship (thanks asip!), although I’ll still need to do some work for it during the conference. I’ve already met some great friends and LA is an eye opening experience for me – someone who hasn’t lived in American cities. The USC people are all desensitized to the homeless/drug/violence stuff, and I guess I will be too at some point. But I think it’s very sad. But, the HI hostel we are staying in is great. I love hostels!
Ok, I did PII last year so this isn’t my first rodeo with Linen blogs. I hope I can write about what I’m learning at JASC and how it fits in with my experiences of Japan. Not sure how all these threads will come together.
