HTA Week 2

And that’s a wrap on week 2—the weeks are really starting to fly by now. I’ve enjoyed my classes—both my teachers and classmates are great—and the work, while a lot, has been manageable, though it can get a bit repetitive at times. Going out to eat with friends usually helps break the monotony, providing nice breaks from studying. After the weekly exam on Friday, I went on a hike with my host student at Bitan, a scenic area by the river with beautiful natural scenery and views of the city. However, after some time, it started raining really heavily, and so we waited out the thunderstorm under a little shelter enclosure. We just so happened to be with some retirees who had been fishing, and we had a great conversation. As for today (Saturday), I visited Yehliu Geopark, which is known for its unique rock formations, and the Ju Ming museum, which houses many works from the Taiwanese sculptor Ju Ming. Anyways, I should get back to studying, I have an essay due tomorrow at midnight…
