大家好!
This past week I experienced my first typhoon! We had zoom classes for two days (throwback to 2020) and had to stay indoors because of the strong wind and rain.
Yesterday I went to Shifen and Jiufen. We got to write wishes on a giant lantern and then light it up and watch it rise up into the sky. The old street in Shifen had so many different types of lanterns with different kinds of wishes on them. I also got to go on a small hike to the nearby waterfall. Not only was the waterfall so beautiful, but the weather outside of Taipei was nice and cool which made for a great not-to-hot hike.
Today I’m going to Tamsui with my host family. I’m super excited because I’ve never gone before! I heard it’s really pretty and there are many old streets to walk around on.
