The trip to the waterfall this past weekend was a huge success, as we not only got to swim in and around the waterfall, but were also able to explore some of the rural areas around the waterfall before heading back to Taipei. The huge spiders and insects certainly Taiwan’s tropical climate, one that is quite different from the east coast of the U.S. In class this week, we chose our topics for the coming midterm presentation. I’ll be giving a presentation on the evolution of Chinese characters, as I read a little bit about it in our class textbook
