This week was the week of our midterm oral presentation. The first three days of the week flew by as we had normal classes, with some practice for the Friday speech mixed in. When Thursday rolled around, I got the chance to practice the speech in the room I would be giving it in, and used the microphone and powerpoint as well. During practice, it is safe to say my preparation was not done, because I went over the time limit during both practice runs. However, after spending Thursday night going over my talk over and over again, I was able to get the average time down under 5 minutes. On Friday, I went to listen to some other students’ talks, and asked some questions about particular ones I found interesting. Then in the afternoon I delivered mine, and felt it went well. It was a cool feeling delivering a talk completely in Chinese to a room full of people. Afterwards, I headed to Fulong for the weekend where I went to the beach, and saw another very beautiful waterfall.
