Hello!!
Week. 7 is a wrap! Only one more week of PiB to go!!! This week was a lot of fun. Last Saturday we had a special visit from a few YouTubers and we got to talk to them about what life as social media influencers is like! In terms of coursework, this week was very heavy on different econ topics like Chinese investments in Africa, localization of different chains in China, and global perception of Chinese products. We also got to read a short story by Lu Xun.
Our speaker for Monday was Dr. Sophie Richardson, the China Director of the Human Rights Watch. We talked about the state of human rights in China, and I found the talk fascinating!
I’m definitely going to miss my classmates and teachers once the program ends, but I’m also really looking forward to the long sleep I’ll be able to have after the program ends! ‘Til next week!
