Hi!
Week 6 is done (and it went by so fast)! I can’t believe how much content we’re getting through in such a short amount of time! The closer we get to the end of the program, the more I realize just how close I’ve grown to my classmates and teachers these past few weeks. This week, we talked about sexual assault in higher education, America’s gun violence problem, the legalization of marijuana, and internet celebrities. We had a debate on whether or not the US should completely ban guns today, and I had to argue the opposing side, which was super interesting! We also had another talk from Professor Perry Link about metaphors in Chinese and in English.
I still have a bit to get through before I move on to week 7 (my weekly quiz and a video of me reciting two Classical Chinese poems), but I’m super excited about the progress I’ve made so far! See you after Week 7!
