This week’s topics were that of China’s progress as a country, public transport, and way of writing. On Friday we participated in a debate of whether or not the US should build a high speed rail. (I was on the side that was against it, but I actually agreed with the other side more). I also was interested in our discussion of typing replacing writing. This week was also PiB Food week, where students could make a video on how to cook their favorite food or Chinese cuisine. I made 红烧肉 for the first time and I think it was not that bad. However I did not get enough oil out of the meat so I felt very sick after eating it.
